Revenue Management and Pricing Overview

The Pricing and Revenue Management department helps us run a successful business by predicting consumer demand and setting pricing structures to optimize revenue.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Pricing and Revenue Management Program offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement plans that generate incremental revenue for a unique set of nonstop flights. Associate Analysts are placed into either Pricing or Revenue Management:

  • Pricing – Defines price structure based off competition and customer willingness to pay

  • Revenue Management – Forecasts customer demand and sets booking levels

Associate Analysts start as a group and are provided with training focused on industry dynamics, airline economics and Pricing and Revenue Management technical skills. In addition, a mentor is assigned to each individual for personalized assistance and development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze trends in bookings, revenue and market dynamics

  • Assess demand patterns and competitive landscape

  • Segment customers based on market conditions

  • Plan seasonal strategy for holidays and peak travel periods

  • Communicate department strategy, working with other stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student graduating in Winter 2019 or Spring 2020, demonstrating strong academic performance

  • Track record of outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others

  • Ability to apply quantitative skills and business acumen to airline industry

Other Qualifications

  • Position is based in Chicago, IL – must be able to relocate

  • Start dates in Winter 2019 or Summer 2020

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now and in the future

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
