Job overview and responsibilities

Executive Compensation Consultant will work under the leadership and direction of the Director of Executive Compensation to support the planning and implementation of executive compensation programs at United Airlines. This position will provide analysis on market trends and best practices that will support the company’s overall compensation philosophy.

  • Develop and communicate short- and long-term incentive compensation, executive benefit, and perquisite plans

  • Prepare and provide data and analysis for use in compensation committee meetings or proxy filings

  • Analyze total pay target levels using both external surveys and internal data to make appropriate compensation recommendation

  • Coordinate the participation in salary surveys to ensure proper benchmarking survey data is gathered

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and serve as an expert resource regarding executive compensation

  • Work closely with Executive Recruiting, Legal, Stock Plan Administration, Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting and Internal Audit

  • Manage special projects assigned by the Vice President – Total Rewards and/or Office of the CHRO

Required

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of financial statements and financial metrics sponsorship

  • Proficient in PowerPoint and excel

  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization

  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight timelines

  • Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision

  • 5 or more years of work experience

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • MBA or other advanced degree

  • Experience in executive compensation consulting firm or professional services firm
