Intern - Network Operations Control

Chicago, IL

This internship is unpaid and students must receive course credit to qualify. Interns are eligible for travel privileges.

Responsibilities

  • ICAO NOTAM database auditing and maintenance

  • Long Tarmac Delay research and reporting

  • Assist in preparations and action items as part of Bi-weekly Network Review

  • Data analysis and reporting to support Project Quality fuel planning initiatives

  • Assist ND/MDO on duty during IRROPS as directed

  • Other duties as assigned by NOC leadership

  • Must currently be enrolled in an Aviation/Aeronautical, Air Traffic, Aviation/Airport Management, and/or closely related degree program

  • Must be at least a Junior in college at the time the internship begins

  • Must be able to receive school credit for internship

  • Must be available from January 2017 - May 2017

  • Pilot certificate preferred, but not required

  • If relocation is required, students must be willing to relocate and pay for own housing. If needed, United will provide air transportation to/from internship location

  • Must be willing to travel for company business if necessary
