Job overview

Clerk - Food Services, Finance is an entry level position that will work all areas of administration including purchasing, menu costing, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly related with the company's needs for material and select services

  • Generate purchase orders, update pricing and reconcile the purchase order

  • Work directly with the Warehouse team for ordering and maintaining stock of product requested

  • Work with vendors and local Warehouse team to resolve invoice discrepancies

  • Analyze product information related to purchasing and yields usage

  • Enter data into files, create invoices and research discrepancies for month-end close

  • Produce weekly and monthly reports for purchasing-related functions

  • Act as a liaison between inventory takers and operational leads to monitor product usage

  • Assist Purchasing Manager with ad hoc assignments

  • Perform other duties as assigned

INDUAL

Education/Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or educational equivalent required

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to exercise judgment in evaluating completeness and accuracy of work required

  • Strong communication skills required

  • Ability to read, write and speak English for effective communication required

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision required

  • Ability to proficiently perform Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook functions and programs required

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work using knowledge of current office technology and business methods preferred

  • Strong math aptitude required

  • Must be able to work in harmony across departments and divisions as well as work and communicate with all levels ofco-workers from front-line employees to managing directors and above

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the Accounting field preferred

  • Minimum of two years of experience in an administration role preferred

Other

  • Must be willing and able to work any shift; this position is not necessarily a Monday-Friday "office" job. Varying hours maybe required as well as weekend work

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • This is considered an Entry-level, administrative position
