Flight Operations

The Flight Operations team includes aircraft pilots and pilot support.

*Position located at United Airlines’ Flight Training Center (FTC), not at the airport*

Job overview and responsibilities

Serves as the initial contact for pilot trainees and Training Center (FTC) staff and assists them with problem resolution. Performs a broad variety of administrative and operational tasks to ensure success of the FTC - Training Support organization.

Customer Center Support Services

  • Performs front desk customer facing support for United Airlines’ pilots in training

  • Processes payroll

  • Orders and maintains office supply inventory for FTC campus

  • Airport badge authorizations

  • Assists with Business Travel needs of the Training Organization

  • Administers check-in/check-out of company laptops and projectors

  • iPad configuration and troubleshooting for pilots in training

  • Fingerprinting

  • I9 Verification

  • Update pilot documentation in Pilot Records such Medical, Passports Info

  • Supports campus Xerox copier machines with paper and supplies

Facilities Support Services & Mailroom Support Services

  • Processes invoices and accounts payable

  • Credit Card Reconciliation

  • Vendor & Contract Management support

  • Warranty Management support

  • Assists Manager with Budget administration and Budget forecasting to include accruals and TMC’s.

  • Coordinates people and departmental moves including computer, phones, printers

  • Provides audio support for campus events

  • Coordinates updates to facility signage

  • Shipping and Receiving

  • Mail distribution

  • Manages dock area

Education

  • High school diploma, GED or education equivalent required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Computer skills required

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred

  • Good communication skills required

  • ERP/WebAP/Shares/uSource/TimeTracker knowledge preferred

  • Working knowledge of Pilot Records (PR) a plus

Experience

  • Two years of customer service and/or administrative experience required

  • Previous Flight Training Center or airport administrative experience preferred

Other

  • Must have the ability to do telephone and computer work

  • Must have the ability to spend time working in the mailroom including pushing/pulling carts, moving, lifting and delivering items of a moderate weight and utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks

  • Must be willing and able to work weekends as part of your permanent schedule

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
