Please Note: We are hiring for Director – HR & ER positions. Positions will be based at DEN, EWR, IAH, ORD and SFO. An additional role will focus on domestic line stations and can be based out of any hub location.

The Director of Human Resources & Employee Relations position is responsible for partnering with business unit leaders to define and deliver innovative, strategic initiatives and solutions that align with our Core4 values. The successful Director of HR & ER is a key thought leader in many areas, including but not limited to employee engagement, diagnosing talent, training/coaching/mentoring, regulatory compliance and labor relations. This individual leads a team of HR professionals in various levels and is responsible to create a thriving team environment, developing current talent to become future HR leaders.


  • Provide integrated strategic solutions supporting our corporate, local and business objectives

  • Short and Long Range Strategic Planning

  • Employee and Labor Relations

  • Employee Development, Training, and Engagement

  • Be a Culture Champion & Agent of Change

  • Serves as the “voice of the customer” to the HR COE and Labor teams

  • HR Data Analysis

  • Provide Leadership and Mentoring to HR Team

  • Performance Management and Compensation Cycle Management

  • Ensure Appropriate Application of Policy, Procedures & CBA Requirements

  • Ensure Federal, State and Municipal Regulatory Compliance


  • Excellent interpersonal communications

  • Highly effective at building partnerships and influencing leaders at all levels of an organization

  • Strong collaborator with other HR / LR support teams and business partners

  • Experience at leading a high performing team focused on delivering business results

  • High level of HR and business acumen

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years’ experience in HR or operational people leadership may be substituted for educational requirement; master’s in business administration or human resources is preferred

  • HR Certification ideal - SPHR or SHRM-SCP

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive human resources experience or equivalent operational leadership preferred

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Primary work days are Monday through Friday, working hours vary depending on location and business group supported. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.


  • Percentage of time spent traveling will differ depending on the organization supported.

  • Corporate Support Center – Required minimally, 10%.Primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area travel may be expected.

  • Line Stations – Required frequently, 50%.Expect frequent site visits to stations supported.

  • Hub Stations - Required minimally, 10%.Primarily out-of-area travel for training or to support investigations is expected.
