Please note that this position will be hired under the Chelsea Food Services divisional work rules.


This position supervises a key functional department and may serve as Manager on Duty. The Supervisor II has responsibility for financial, operational, quality and regulatory performance of the assigned department; supervises the production staff, manages resources, shift schedules and addresses performance issues. This position is responsible for production schedules, timeliness and quality of the product.


  • Work closely with department manager to supervise shift and run the day to day departmental operation

  • Responsible for employee scheduling, attendance, discipline, payroll, interviewing, accident investigation and safety awareness

  • Conduct shift briefings and other employee communication

  • Act as Manager on Duty when needed

  • Assist in coordinating production schedules with other departments to meet overall operational needs

  • Responsible for departmental quality, productivity, overall performance, food safety compliance, regulatory compliance and departmental safety programs

  • Responsible for ensuring departmental goals and objectives are met

  • Participate with kitchen and corporate resources to implement Lean processes and objectives into the production process



  • High School diploma, General Education Development (GED) or educational equivalent required

  • College degree, BA, or MBA preferred


  • Strong leadership skills required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required

  • Ability to work in temperature controlled (cold) production areas required

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, employees and outside suppliers required

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required

  • Computer skills including use of email, Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred

  • Ability to speak fluent English required

  • Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience preferred

  • Fluent in Spanish or another language preferred


  • Two to three years in catering and/or a food services operations preferred

  • Previous leadership experience preferred


  • Must be willing and able to work any shift in a 24-hour-a-day / 7-day-a-week operation to include early mornings, late nights, overnights, weekends and holidays

  • Valid state-issued (from any state in the United States) driver's license required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
