Overview

This position will work within the Global Compliance and Ethics Office and program, with focus in an assigned international region and area of responsibility. This position will be strategically located and will serve to promote the mission of and provide leadership in all aspects of the Ethics and Compliance Office and program.

This position will work collaboratively with the Associate General Counsel –Global Compliance, Ethics and Security and other members of the Compliance and Ethics, Security and Legal teams as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and advance the mission of the Ethics and Compliance Office and ethics and compliance culture within area of responsibility

  • Effectively increase and maintain the visibility of Ethics and Compliance Office and program within area of responsibility

  • Promote awareness of the Ethics and Compliance Office, program and policies within area of responsibility

  • Serve as resource to address business conduct and compliance questions within area of responsibility

  • Assist in the identification and development of ethics and compliance communications and communication strategy, with particular focus within area of responsibility

  • Collaboratively review, develop and implement ethics and compliance policies with particular focus on area of responsibility

  • Provide guidance to employees and business partners related to the company’s compliance and ethics policies, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption Policy

  • Identify compliance trends; develop and implement responses and approaches to identified trends with focus in area of responsibility

  • Conduct, or assist in conducting periodic compliance assessments and/or audits within area of responsibility

  • Coordinate with internal and external business resources in assessing adequate procedures and processes for maintaining an effective compliance program

  • Receive allegations or reports of violations of the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and other allegations of non-compliance; escalate allegations as appropriate

  • Conduct, or assist in, compliance and ethics investigations, as appropriate

  • Educate local management on best compliance practices and compliance and ethics trends

  • Assume responsibility for special projects and assignments as directed

  • Travel within area of responsibility to facilitate and promote mission of Ethics and Compliance Office and program through education, training and meetings with various levels of employees

Education

  • Bachelors degree required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective business writing and presentation skills combined with strong interpersonal communication abilities

  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)

  • Comfort and proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple corporate functions and various levels while building strong professional relationships required

  • Excellent management skills and business judgment with a capacity to make decisions and give practical business/compliance advice required

  • Ability to provide leadership in developing and maintaining effective ethics and compliance policies and initiatives required

  • Ability to identify, develop and implement specific programs, processes and procedures in significant and substantive areas such as anti-bribery/anti-corruption

  • Ability to provide effective guidance and assistance to the Associate General Counsel – Global Compliance, Ethics and Security required

Experience

  • At least 4 years experience with anti-bribery/anti-corruption programs

  • Previous work experience in the Latin America region required

  • Experience conducting or participating in broad range of employee or company investigations

  • Previous legal experience a plus

  • Significant experience in working in an ethics and compliance program or office; or significant experience working in compliance related functions required
