Overview

The outside sales rep is the primary contact with corporations and travel agencies, and implements commission programs and discount agreements, also managing performance and revenue without compromising the ROI or integrity of our product. Knowledgeable on the competitive landscape and able to identify market trends. Manage business along with the relationship with distributors with honest open communication. Represent the new United on associations as Amcham, trade shows, and seminars. Has frequent sales calls with corporations and agencies, providing them updates on United product, policies, and procedures and keeps constant communication with accounts. Has the ability to overcome objections gracefully and negotiate win/win solutions. Liaison with CTO, visiting those regularly, including them on sales activities and keeping them informed on commission programs, SME opportunities and others.

Responsibilities

  • Agency and Corporations development - Monitor and track agencies and corporations performance and develop a business plan to increment revenue and identify new opportunities

  • Effectively leverage UA strengths, Star Network, contracts and sales tool to promote UA brand recognition and our value as a strategic business partner

  • Frequent quality sales calls to review account performance and monitor any market share shifts

  • Build relationships across corporations and agencies, create presentations for frontline/ marketing actions/ workshops

  • Continue to diversify our business mix focusing on niche markets such as Latin small businesses

  • Depth quality analysis, uses market intelligence (MI, SI, UCS) and work with partners as PRISM, being focused on solutions to increased revenue, share and customer loyalty

  • Deliver performance reviews, establishes aggressive but reasonable goals and consistently monitors goal achievement, and improve effectiveness of sales programs

  • Restructure and/or eliminate unproductive agreements

  • Asses competition, market place risk and provide recommendations based on the local landscape, know your competition

  • Manage distribution cost by selling value and paying on performance

  • Provides weekly report to leadership

  • Leverage participation in high-visibility activities such as executive joint calls, advisory boards, industry and company sponsored events in order to enhance relationships and drive customer loyalty

  • Actively participates in key community events, related Chambers, and associations to network with local executive leaders and generate new leads

  • Maintain relationship with airport staff to build team loyalty

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Education

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required

  • Masters Degree preferred

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong negotiating skills and financial acumen required

  • Skills with analytical tools (MS, UCS/Prism etc.) required

  • Knowledge and user experience of other company's systems and data sources used within Sales preferred

  • Analytical skills, communication, and financial acumen required

  • Fluency in English and Spanish required

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years sales/airline sales experience required

Other

  • Travel required (depending on location)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the Mexico for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
