Catering Operations

The Food Services department develops, creates and provides the great dining experiences on board our aircraft.

Job overview and responsibilities

  • Complete vehicle inspection for weapons, explosives, and other deadly or dangerous items prior to loading catering vehicles

  • Document inspection process and maintain accurate records of the catering vehicles

  • Responsible for daily inventory of the catering trucks in service, company radios, straps, chocks, etc.

  • Assists manager with work schedules and assignments of workers to specific duties

  • Performs truck inspection for damages and completes the appropriate forms with the driver prior to and after the truck is returned to base

  • Reports to Manager-On-Duty any new damage to the vehicle

  • Maintain accurate daily records of the driver/truck usage

  • Trains and supports cross utilization of AVIS team with Security team

  • Support unit in the Supply Chain Optimization initiative

  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • High school diploma/GED equivalent

  • Ability to read, speak and understand English

  • Ability to communicate with the general public

  • Works outside 90% of the time

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be willing to work any shift in a 24/7 week, including weekends, nights and holidays

  • Must have a valid US state driver's license

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is essential function of the position
