The Food Services department develops, creates and provides the great dining experiences on board our aircraft.

Job overview and responsibilities

Serve as Senior Leader managing key functional departments and overseeing entire HUB kitchen operation. Works closely with Director ensuring overall performance success. Responsible for financial, operational, safety, quality and regulatory performance. Manages staff, resources, schedules and performance issues.

Responsible for kitchen quality, productivity, overall performance, food safety compliance, regulatory compliance and departmental safety programs while on duty

Supervises department managers, supervisors and employees. Responsibilities include employee scheduling, attendance, discipline, payroll, interviewing, accident investigation and safety awareness

Participate as a key member of the kitchen leadership team to ensure corporate and local policy and procedures are implemented and maintained

Manage assigned functional departments, coordinate production schedules with all departments to meet overall operational needs of the kitchen

Establish department goals and objectives to support kitchen and corporate initiatives

Participate with kitchen and corporate resources to implement Lean processes and objectives into the production process

Required

BA/BS in Engineering, business administration, business management or similar degree

5 -7 years in Food Manufacturing operations Management

2-5 years in strategic leadership leading large teams with multiple indirect and direct reports.

Understands comprehensively HACCP, GMPs, FDA and other Compliance Regulations as it relates to Food Safety Standards

Understands comprehensively OSHA standards and other Compliance Regulations as it relates to Safety Compliance

Management of Process Improvement Projects.

Root Cause analysis methodologies. Process flow mapping.

Experience leading teams up to 200 employees in a manufacturing/ fast operational tempo environment.

Strong knowledge of quality measurements

Preferred

Lean/Six Sigma Certification

HAACP and ServSafe Certification

Knowledge of airline experience and catering operations

preferred MBA or advanced degree

Managing process improvement projects

Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience
