Ability to overhaul various hydraulic systems, as well as positive displacement pumps, hydraulic test benches, cylinders and jacks and various fixed shop equipment.
Schedules are bid and awarded according to seniority
Technicians may bid for schedules several times a year and schedules are awarded according to seniority
Hydraulic Technicians are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT)
Salary increases will be administered according to the current IBT/United contract
New employees are required to join the union within ninety (90) days of employment
There is an initiation fee for joining the union and subsequent monthly union dues
- Must have a high school diploma/GED or education equivalent

Must have knowledge, ability and previous experience in the maintenance, repair and modification of a variety of industrial equipment including fixed shop equipment such as powered shears, drill presses and press brakes, etc., and mobile equipment such as hydraulic test benches.
- 12 months experience of trouble shooting, repairing and overhauling various hydraulic and mechanical systems and components including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps required.

Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid US driver's license (revoked, suspended or expired are not considered valid) required
Must pass 10-year background check
Must be willing to take a pre-placement physical abilities test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position
Position-specific clearances may include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances required
Overtime available/required depending upon operational need
Must be able to work any shift
