Corporate Safety

Our Corporate Safety department implements medical programs and workers compensation and helps employees dealing with lost time to injury. They also conduct fight safety investigations and educate pilots on potential safety threats and more. The emergency response team falls under this department as well.

Job overview and responsibilities

Develop and apply statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret and summarize safety data to facilitate decision making to improve aircraft damage metrics, overall safety or compliance. Responsible for designing hypotheses, running and analyzing key data for the purpose of identifying correlation, generating predictive reports, and other duties as assigned. This position supports the department as well as the division including analysis for the Corporate Safety Review Board, Board of Directors and reports for regulatory bodies such as the FAA and OSHA.

  • Adapt statistical methods to solve specific problems leveraging predictive analysis to support leadership decision making

  • Analyze and interpret statistical data to identify differences or relationships among sources of information

  • Identify underlying principles, reasons or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts

  • Develop, design and test experiments and analytical methods

  • Identify relationships and trends in data as well as factors that could impact the results of research

  • Expertise in the use of appropriate software applications and acquisition of data sources including data warehouse to facilitate research

  • Utilize SQL where appropriate to leverage analysis and reporting

  • Report results of statistical analyses including information in the form of graphs, charts and tables

  • Communicate results to stakeholders with differing levels of statistical understanding

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics

  • 3+ years direct experience in statistical analysis, predictive analysis, experiment development, correlations, utilizing data warehouse among other data sources

  • Minimum 2 years direct experience using statistical software such as Minitab and SAS

  • Strong communication skills required to translate data

  • Statistical software such as Minitab and SAS, statistical analysis

  • Statistical and Analytical practices. SQL,

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Master's Degree

  • Five years experience in statistical analysis, predictive analysis, experiment development, correlations, utilizing data warehouse among other data source

  • Three years direct experience using statistical software such as Minitab and SAS
