Job overview and responsibilities

This position will actively monitor the performance of all the digital marketing campaigns and work closely with the agency to provide further insights.

  • Execute solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling and machine learning techniques

  • Create and develop presentations for United leadership and external stakeholders

  • Works independently and with the agency A&I teams to query and mine large historical data sets to identify transactional patterns in digital media buys

  • Provides ad-hoc support to ongoing digital marketing projects during scoping, reporting and including the creation of new visualization techniques

  • Uses proficiency in project management skills to manage the planning, execution and overall performance of concurrent data analytics projects

  • Communicates clearly, concisely, and accurately using written and verbal communications

  • Influences future decisions to drive measurable action plans

  • Timely provides feedback to internal teams and leadership on assigned projects

This position is offered on local terms and conditions within United’s wholly owned subsidiary United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.


  • 2+ years of experience with analytics

  • 2+ years of experience working with machine learning techniques for anomalies detection

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or related field

  • Hands-on technical experience in distributed computing, machine learning, and statistics-related work

  • Proficient in using database querying tools and able to write complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL

  • Be adept at juggling several projects and initiatives simultaneously through appropriate prioritization

  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, precise and actionable manner

  • Be familiar with one or more reporting tools – Spotfire, Tableau

  • Strong hands on experience with SAS, R or Python

  • Experienced in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high dimensionality data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationships

  • Have hands-on experience with and extensive knowledge of anomalies detection and test design

  • Ability to be self-directed

  • Highly motivated, innovative thinker (self-starter)

  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to United States

  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
