Job overview and responsibilities

The aim of the business partner model is to help HR professionals integrate more thoroughly into business processes and to align their day-to-day work with business results.

This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the Benefit related matters across the Region, including ensuring alignment in terms of policies, processes and systems. It is also responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the UK DB Pension Scheme, from its dayly operational activities to the delivery of discrete projects relating to the Pension Scheme. The role will support the HR function to align HR strategy with the business needs and goals. This role will be the main contact point with the Benefit Centers of Excellence (COE) to leverage Corporate capabilities in support of our HR initiatives and leveraging their expertise to business needs. Responsible for overseeing this discrete area within the Regional HR team.

  • Fully manage and coordinate all matters relating to the UK DB Pension Scheme, providing expertise in the general administration of the Scheme, liaising with the Scheme key stakeholders, which includes Trustees, the Pension Administrator and senior colleagues in the Corporate Service Centre. This includes successfully running any related projects relating to the Scheme and its rules.

  • Supervise and manage all benefits matters in the UK, which includes the administration, coordination and review/implementation of Flexible Benefits and ensure a timely and accurate service level on making these flexible benefits available to all employees.

  • To supervise the submissions of existing compensation & benefits related programmes across the Region and create an annual plan of all offerings across the Region, considering all nuances in terms of statutory requirements and, by working closely with the corporate Compensation & Benefits team, provide recommendations and a roadmap for a holistic approach to any needed on conutinuous improvement and alignment, where appropriate.

  • Work as a true ‘HR Business Partner’, demonstrating coaching skills, strategic and critical thinking, commercial acumen and business management, through working in partnership with the Business Partners in designing solutions that address organizational and employee development, retention and attraction.

  • Administrative duties may include, but are not limited to, dealing with all Flexible Benefits coordination and any resulting payroll related changes and guidance on identifying adequate analytics.

  • Be responsible for reviewing, maintaining and updating key corporate policies across the region, understanding where gaps in policy may exist, fostering continuous improvement and sharing best practice, wherever possible, based on local legal requirements.

  • Provide guidance and leadership on how policies can be translated on local processes with the focus on continuous improvement, greater efficiency and engagement and, consequently, recommend areas in which processes can be optimised at local or regional level. Provide guidance to local HR Representatives in the management of local policies, benefits, processes and systems, ensuring that they can perform local day-to-day activities in line with the Regional and Corporate agendas.

  • Work in partnership with the Company’s Centers of Excellence, including TA and the Regional HR Team, to ensure that all activities follow the utmost level of expertise and that these are tailored to the legal requirements in all countries in which we operate, as well as areas to do with workforce planning and forecasting, apprenticeships and internships recruitment and seasonal recruitment.

  • Provide support on identifying the adequate systems and analytics to support better business decisions and work closely with stakeholders in the design of such metrics, systems implementation and policies.

  • Work closely with the local HR Representatives and the Regional Strategic Projects Manager in driving business performance, locally as well as through analytics.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.


  • Knowledge of working in an international HR Management environment

  • Experience in dealing with Trade Unions

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree

  • Extensive experience in general HR management and/or a business partner role

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business partners’ needs and goals and apply HR solutions needed to achieve results

  • Excellent business partner management and business acumen skills

  • Successful influencing skills

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in employee development, coaching, organizational design, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, training, and HR project management and program execution

  • HR business acumen - able to diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions

  • Ability to function and thrive in a fast paced

  • Ability to build trusted relationships through all levels of the organization

  • Must be fluent in English (written and oral)

  • This is a Part-Time position

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Some travel required across the region
